Just continuing the old thread - I too wish there were more Dragon Age Origins type RPGs as Riddick was saying. Oldschool types are still my favorites. Unfortunately it seems Bioware is dead now and only suitable to churn out trash like Andromeda and Anthem.

As to the Dark Souls talk - Maul, yeah I found DS2 really easy too. DS3 wasn't much of a challenge either. In fact DS3 seemed to favor one playstyle over all others whereas I felt I could experiment in DeS/DS/DS2.

@Snake, honestly, I thought the souls games would be right up your alley. They scratch alot of the same itch as RE games for me. They've got great atmosphere, a horror vibe, lots of in universe lore, tough as nails, and that same satisfying feeling when a level turns back in on itself and you discover a new way through an old environment.

Obviously they're missing the puzzles and characterization, but they make up for it with more replayability with varying skills/equipment/spells etc.

Regarding Reach, I can't remember if I answered this, but it doesn't seem like they'll update future printings with it. It's going to be an add-on DLC for awhile at least.

Edit: Just occurred to me I should mention I changed my name lol. This be Neo

BioWare is pretty much done at this point. They’re no longer the kings of RPGs. It was inevitable, but I was hoping we had ten more years.

Yeah, I read that Reach was going to be mostly add-ons. Ugh. I’ll end up getting it in the summer, I guess.

I was going to revert back to DarthBakura, but I couldn’t find the avatar I used before.

Good to see some are making their way here. If they refresh the forum page, does it immediately jump to this new site? It seemed like it did for me, but then again, I had both of them open at one point.

Google's new console... eh not feeling it. A game streaming platform is going to have issues with high input lag despite their claims of it being low. Trying to stream games on certain devices at 4K 60fps = lol.

Yeah, I’m not big into this whole streaming games scene. I don’t like the fact that we are embracing digital games more and more. Until there’s some kind of database that stores what you purchase and you CANNOT be locked out of any content, I won’t trust it. A physical collection will always be preferred.

Being a PC user primarily and using steam for years,I actually prefer no physical media anymore.

So I’m fine with the idea of streaming games - in fact I absolutely love it as it’d destroy the upgrade cycle and everyone could have top of the line gfx at any time.

However there’s a lot of infrastructural work to be done as Puck pointed out, so it’s not exactly ready for prime time yet.

I mean at this point I’d be happy with a constant lag free 1080p60fps, let alone 4K lol

Then there’s the question of if it can deliver decent quality surround sound as well.

I’ll never trust anyone or anything who could wipe away your entire collection in the blink of an eye. It would be the equivalent to losing everything in a tornado or hurricane. Except obviously not as severe as all that.

Perhaps this should go to a general VG Collectibles thread, anyhow, I found this.

It looks good, but I'd never buy this, if I were to get a mech from MGS it would be a Gekko

Edit: I almost forgot, there's also a smoll Snake incoming:

All those minifigs look great... but is there really such a market? So much of the V stuff just sits on shelves. I sold off my Venom Snake pair recently. I don't think I'm dropping $300 on the newer set that should of come out in the first place.

There’s a market, it’s just a niche one. I’d say most video game toys are.

The V stuff is generally good but these figures arrived too late. I would have liked to have Venom and Quiet 4 years ago, I completely lost interest by now.

I’m good with my current 1/6 Venom Snake and kitbashed Quiet set. Sure, the new Quiet set looks more accurate, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it to upgrade just for the head and the harness. I may just try and grab them parted out.

I refuse to have anything MGSV in my house. I feel dirty owning the game, let alone memorabilia. To me, I want to remember MGS as what it was, a brilliant series that ended at 3. Or 2.

Playing Broken Sword for the first time after having only played a PS1 demo back in 96 or so. I'm liking it so far.

^Nice to see some classics love. I wouldn’t mind going back and giving it another run too sometime.

Yeah this is basically how I feel about it. It’s too late for all this.

Playing The Force Unleashed on my Vita. I really wish we could get some more Star Wars games like this again.

Any Star Wars games at all would be welcome

EA has done shit all with the license outside of Battlefront

Hopefully Fallen Order’s reveal will finally show us something good

I'm not interested in any multiplayer games anymore. I miss full game single player campaigns. All I want to do is throw my light saber, choke someone, and throw people off walkways.
