Getting ready for this convention this weekend. Has anyone been to this before? I've never been so it'll be interesting to see how it compares to the ones I usually attend. Looking forward to finally getting Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum's autographs!

I’ve thought about going to this one for awhile now, but we always end up going to the Dallas one instead.

Checked into the hotel for the convention and went to eat at the hotel restaurant. Doug Mahnke is sitting at the table behind us. I don’t know how many people would recognize him or give a s***, but it’s pretty cool to me.

And Jim Starlin is at the table behind Mahnke. If Tom Welling walks in I’m going to scream like a little fan girl.

Just looked at the guest list. Urg, wish I could've gone. Would have killed for an Olivier Coipel Thor print. He canceled the last show I tried meeting him at. Looks like fun guys!

I’ll check out his booth and see if he has any Thor prints.

Pretty relaxed convention so far. Tomorrow will probably be a madhouse though. Already met Tom Welling and John Wesley Shipp and got some signed DC Bombshell prints from Ant Lucia. Standing in line for Linda Blair now—just waiting for her to show up.

Today is much, much busier. This convention is a lot more organized than most I’ve been to though. All the times are posted for when celebrities are signing, doing photo ops, or doing panels. The aisles are really wide so walking around is manageable even when it’s packed. It also has the biggest Artist Alley section of any convention I’ve been to—except maybe SDCC. The only thing it’s missing is getting companies like Sideshow, Chronicle Collectibles, DC, Marvel, etc. to have their own product booths. If they added them I’d probably never go to SDCC again.

Hmm, you're definitely making me want to go to this next year. Wizard Worlds getting a little old with the same guests all the time.

I picked up a DC Bombshell Power Girl and Superman Statue today for half off! Plus, I got a Superman with Kelex figure and a little Knitted Superman. The lady said she’d make me a Zod to go with him.

I also picked up some prints. The Alien ones are f****** awesome. There’s some Ant Lucia Bombshell prints (I got a Supergirl one too but it’s rolled up). Then I saw Todd Aaron Smith (who did animation and storyboards for BTAS) and got a print of all the animated females plus an original sketch of Harley and Poison Ivy. I’m trying to get him to draw Ursa for me, but it’ll have to be after the con. Lorenzo Lizana did a Zod commission for me that rocks.

Nice hauls man! How was Mark Pellegrino in person? Curious as he seems to bring a lot of energy to his parts at least.
He was really laid back and super nice. I love him on Supernatural so I was excited to see him. It was the first time I’ve seen him at a convention so I figured I’d better grab a signature while I had the chance.

oooh. love the batman crouching one. yeah, I've noticed this con gets a few of them as their guests. They had Jim Beaver the previous year I think. The official supernatural conventions are a bit pricey in my opinion though.

Coipel only had a couple prints at his booth, and none of them were Thor. The majority of the stuff at his table was original art—which was insanely expensive. If you want the Batman print from him in the pic above then let me know and I’ll send it to you.
